On the 'home' page, you saw several questions. Here are the answers:

* Are you worried about the financial and time invenstment required to advance to BIM?

Yes there are financial and time investments required to advance your company to the next level, but you have to spend wisely! Your company would never have gotten it's start if risks weren't taken. The key is to do reasearch and seek the most efficient means to obtain your goal.

Using KP-Grafix can advance you to the next level faster than you ever imagined. When compared to trying to do it yourself and learning by trial and error, the savings are huge.

* Are you falling behind the competition and worried that you will never catch up?

"Catchig up" should be the least of your concerns in these hard economic times. You are a business owner and should be concerned about surpassing your competition! Using KP-Grafix to leap-Frog your competion is the smartest thing a business owner can do.

* Is your company missing opportunities because you are not BIM capable?

KP-Grafix understands. Federal Government, Corps of Engineers, Department of Defense, and most Sate and local government branches have all required a BIM product in their RFPs. It is only a matter of time until local juristictions require BIM (Revit) as a mandatory requirement. KP-Grafix can get you there quickly and efficiently!

* Are you ready for BIM, but your Key Personell keep stalling?

KP-Grafix has come accross this hurdle before. More times than not it is a common occurrance with staff falling into a "comfortable rut" because of lack of education about the BIM process. This is an internal issue that needs education to overcome. The future is now, and those higher level key personnell have to realize that evolutioin is paramount to succeed.

* Is your BIM staff in need of direction and focus?

Are you currently using BIM and your staff is still in chaos? KP-Grafix can help you re-gain your focus with template and standards creation. KP-Grafix will help you regain your 'team' approach that you have worked so hard to achieve.

* What is BIM and why do I need it?

National Building Information Modeling Standards (NBIMS) definition:

"...a digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. A BIM is a shared knowledge resource for information about a facility forming a reliable basis for decisions during its life-cycle; defined as existing from earliest conception to demolition. A basic premise is BIM is collaboration by different stakeholders at different phases of the life cycle of a facility to insert, extract, update or modify information in the BIM to support and reflect the roles of that stakeholder"

BIM is a way of creating your entire project in a virtual world before actual construction begins. Through the BIM process, all systems (Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Plumbing, Electrical, and Civil) can be modeled and tied into a real-time schedule to see the creation of the structure "virtually". Collision Detection can be performed at any time to see if any sub-system is in conflict with another or if the scheduling has to be adjusted to allow contractors to install their systems in proper time sequence (4-D).

The process of BIM has a very different approach to development than your typical Design-Bid or even Design-Build approach. Unlike the typical design process, BIM demands a much higher level of devolopment in the early stages. This front-loaded approach actually saves time and money in the long run.

The "parametric" values associated with BIM allow actual descriptions of products to be associated with the model. This allows for better and more accurate scheduling of items needed for construction and can give more accurate requirements for time of delivery.
